Lumbax Dorso ThuaSne Corrective Thoracolumbar Orthosis: Superior Spinal Support
Description
The Lumbax Dorso Thoracolumbar Orthosis by Thuasne offers superior spinal support and correction. Its key features include: an anatomically shaped aluminum frame that conforms to the spine’s natural curves and is customizable to individual morphology; adjustable height for personalized fit; double fixation loops for enhanced stability; comfortable underarm design; additional straps for customizable compression; and an additional sternum support strap.
Indications
The Lumbax Dorso is indicated for adults and adolescents experiencing back pain associated with progressive or non-progressive static disorders such as kyphosis and lordosis. It also helps prevent axial spinal deformities in the context of progressive diseases.
Application
- Adjust Height: Adjust the orthosis height to the patient’s anatomy; the lower edge should rest at the coccyx, and the straightening frame should be slightly above the shoulders.
- Don the Orthosis: Insert arms into the straps. Ensure straps are securely attached to the straightening frame before donning. Wear over a shirt or t-shirt.
- Fasten Straps: Secure the lower Velcro fastener at the waist using the hand loop, then repeat with the upper Velcro fastener. Simultaneously pull the additional straps and fasten, right then left.
- Adjust Straightening Frame: Detach the strap ends, pull them apart, and refasten at the desired distance. Never detach the straightening frame from the orthosis.
- Adjust Sternum Support: Position the inter-scapular pad for comfort. Adjust and fasten the additional sternum support strap using the Velcro closures. The inner Velcro closure on the sternum plate can be attached to clothing.
