How to Put On
By Hand
- Put them on in the morning. Ensure your nails are trimmed and rings are removed.
- Sit on a bed or chair with your leg bent at the knee.
- Place the stocking inside out.
- Insert your hand to the heel, grip the heel, and turn it right side out to the heel only.
- Insert two thumbs inside the turned-out part, stretching it wide.
- Pull up the heel, aligning it with your heel, and step on it to secure.
- Make a small fold at mid-foot, grip it firmly, and pull it up to the instep, stretching it wide while pushing against the heel.
- Gradually pull up the stocking section by section (approx. 5 cm at a time), smoothing out wrinkles. Check the heel placement and adjust if needed.
Using a Donning Aid
- Place the aid on the floor.
- Hold the stocking with the heel facing you.
- Slide the stocking onto the aid up to the heel.
- Insert your foot, placing your foot on the floor.
- Pull the aid up to your knee.
- Remove the aid.
- Smooth out the stocking.
How to Remove
- Grab the top and carefully roll the stocking down to the knee, then the ankle, and finally the toes.
- Avoid pulling on the elastic band; instead, grip the knitted part.
Important Notes
- If the stocking isn’t stretched enough, don’t pull it up; lower it and stretch it again.
- Wear gloves when putting them on.
- For knee-highs, don’t pull them above the kneecap.
- For stockings with a silicone band, don’t apply creams or ointments to the area where the band adheres.
- Do not cut off loose threads or labels.
- Wear as recommended by your doctor. If no recommendation, wear in the morning and remove in the evening.
Care Instructions
- Hand wash daily with mild detergent at a temperature of ≤ 30°C (86°F).
