Eucalyptus Leaves 50g
Description:
Eucalyptus, renowned for its fast growth and towering stature, is an evergreen tree with smooth bark. These sun-loving trees thrive in fertile, well-nourished soil and reproduce through seeds, typically germinated in greenhouses. Remarkably resilient, eucalyptus trees quickly regenerate from frost damage or after being cut down.
Eucalyptus leaves are a rich source of essential oils, flavonoids, and tannins. According to the State Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation (GF XI), the essential oil content must meet specific standards: a minimum of 2.5% for whole leaves of Eucalyptus globulus (ball eucalyptus), 1.5% for chopped leaves, and 1% for Eucalyptus viminalis (narrow-leaved eucalyptus). Crucially, the cineole component of the essential oil should comprise at least 60% (45% for E. viminalis). The essential oil itself is a readily mobile, transparent, colorless or yellowish liquid with a distinct cineole aroma.
