Indications

Ideal for the preparation of enamel, and the removal of composite and glass ionomer fillings to facilitate endodontic access. Note: These burs are less suitable for dentin preparation as the spaces between the diamond particles can become clogged with organic material, reducing cutting efficiency.

Precautions

Sterilization Instructions

1. Pre-Sterilization Cleaning: After use, immediately immerse the burs in a disinfectant solution to prevent the adherence of debris. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for dilution and immersion time. Avoid phenolic disinfectants.
2. Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the burs with running water. Inspect for residual organic matter. Repeat the pre-sterilization cleaning if necessary.
3. Drying: Dry the burs completely.
4. Autoclaving:
   • 121°C (249°F) for 20 minutes or more.
   • 126°C (259°F) for 15 minutes or more.
