Iodinol exhibits broad-spectrum efficacy against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (particularly effective against streptococci and E. coli), pathogenic fungi, and yeast. While staphylococci show some resistance, prolonged application demonstrates suppression in approximately 80% of cases. Pseudomonas aeruginosa exhibits greater resistance.
