The SurvSplint PT pelvic binder is designed for stabilizing pelvic injuries, including open or closed fractures, dislocations, and ligament damage. Its wide, circular design comfortably encircles the hips. The innovative AUTOSTOP buckle prevents over-tightening or under-tightening, ensuring optimal pressure with a simple click-and-fasten system using Velcro. The centrally narrowed design allows for catheterization, interventional radiology, or abdominal surgery without removal. The rear features a soft, non-slip coating for patient comfort and secure immobilization during transport.
The SurvSplint PT utilizes a patented Safe-Click buckle. This mechanism allows for precise tension adjustment; the buckle's internal ratchet system allows the belt to slide until the desired tightness is reached, at which point it audibly clicks and locks, preventing further tightening. The Velcro closure secures the free end, maintaining pressure. Upon release, the Safe-Click mechanism unlocks, slightly loosening the belt to prevent excessive pressure while maintaining immobilization. This ingenious design minimizes the risk of incorrect application and excessive pressure.
