How to Put On Your Compression Socks:

By Hand:

  1. Put them on in the morning. Ensure nails are trimmed and rings are removed.
  2. Sit on a bed or chair with your leg extended.
  3. Place the sock inside out.
  4. Insert your hand to the heel, grab the heel with your fingers, and turn it right side out up to the heel.
  5. Insert two thumbs inside the turned sock, stretching it widely.
  6. Pull the heel up, aligning it with your heel and stepping onto it.
  7. Make a small fold at mid-foot, grasp it firmly, and smooth it towards the instep, stretching and ensuring even distribution. Repeat until the sock is fully positioned.
  8. Smooth out any remaining wrinkles from bottom to top.

Using a Donning Aid (Butler):

  1. Place the donning aid on the floor.
  2. Hold the sock with the heel facing you.
  3. Pull the sock onto the aid up to the heel.
  4. Insert your foot, positioning your foot flat on the floor.
  5. Pull the aid up to your knee.
  6. Remove the aid.
  7. Smooth the sock onto your leg.

How to Remove Your Compression Socks:

  1. Grasp the top of the sock and gently roll it down towards your ankle and toes.
  2. Avoid pulling on the elastic; instead, grip the knitted fabric.
