Calibration Instructions

For optimal accuracy, calibrate your thermometer against a mercury thermometer:

1. Mercury Thermometer Reading: Take a reading using a standard mercury thermometer under the arm (e.g., 36.6°C).
2. Infrared Thermometer Reading: Take a reading with our infrared thermometer on the forehead. Note any discrepancies (e.g., 35.8°C showing a 0.8°C difference).
3. Calibration Adjustment:
   1. Press and hold the SET button until "F" appears. Continue holding until "F1" displays. Release the SET button.
   2. Press the "+" button to switch back to Celsius (°C).
   3. Press and hold the SET button until "F3" appears.
   4. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the calibration to match the mercury thermometer reading (in this case, +0.8°C).

Important Notes

• Battery Polarity: Carefully check the battery polarity; it may differ from standard batteries. Refer to the battery compartment lid for correct placement.
