Alaminol is a concentrated disinfectant with a mild odor and blue color. The 1 L concentrate is diluted with water to prepare a working solution.

Its composition includes alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride (quaternary ammonium compound) at 5%, glyoxal at 8%, a surfactant, a corrosion inhibitor, and a colorant.
