Insertion Instructions:

1. Remove the protective film.
2. Remove the protective valve from the bottom of the container (where the needle is located).
3. Remove the plastic cap from the back (simply pull upwards).
4. Attach the tubing to the cartridge.
5. Fill the catheter with insulin – a few drops should emerge from the needle.
6. Remove the needle safety guard (spirally wound).
7. Pull the inner part (needle holder) upwards and apply the device to the insertion site.
8. Press the release buttons on either side with two fingers.
9. Remove the container along with the insertion needle.

Replacement Frequency:

For optimal insulin absorption and to minimize the risk of occlusion and inflammation, it's recommended to replace the Minimed Mio infusion set every 48-72 hours.
