The bandage width should be equal to or greater than the diameter of the body part being wrapped. For leg bandaging, lie down with legs elevated for 5-10 minutes prior. Begin at the foot, wrapping from the ankle to the base of the toes, then up the leg, overlapping each turn by 50-70%. Apply the greatest tension at the ankle, gradually decreasing upward. Secure the heel with a "lock" to prevent slippage. Finish 5-10cm above the affected area and secure with a clip. For arm bandaging, begin at the inner wrist, wrapping in a figure-eight pattern, ensuring full coverage and gradual compression increase.
Hand wash in lukewarm water (35-40°C) with mild soap. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals. Gently squeeze out excess water; do not wring. Air dry flat. Do not iron.
The bandage should be snug but not overly tight. Numbness, tingling, throbbing pain, or changes in pulse indicate improper application or excessive compression. Remove the bandage immediately and reapply correctly. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional.
