Indications:
This highly elastic bandage is indicated for the treatment of lipodermatosclerosis, post-operative care, injuries, and intractable lymphedema.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
Instructions for Use:
Application:
Leg Bandaging:
The bandage width should be equal to or greater than the diameter of the body part being wrapped. Before bandaging, lie down for 5-10 minutes with your legs elevated, keeping the leg to be bandaged raised. Begin at the ankle, wrapping from the ankle to the base of the toes. Continue up the leg, overlapping each turn by 50-70%. Apply the tightest compression at the ankle, gradually decreasing tension as you move upwards. Secure the heel with a “lock” to prevent slippage. Finish 5-10cm above the affected venous area and secure with a clip.
Arm Bandaging:
Wrap a complete circle around the inner wrist. Make a diagonal turn downwards, across the outer wrist between the thumb and index finger, across the palm, and back to the wrist. Wrap around the wrist and continue down, across the palm, around the outer wrist between the thumb and index finger, and back to the palm. Wrap the wrist again. Create a second full “figure eight” turn. Wrap the wrist and begin circular turns upwards, covering half of the previous layer. Secure above the wrist.
Important Considerations:
The bandage should be snug but not constricting. Numbness, throbbing, or pain indicates incorrect compression or the need for re-bandaging. Hand wash in a mild soap solution at 35-40°C (95-104°F). Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals. Gently squeeze out excess water and air dry flat. Do not iron.
