Description:

Indications for Use:

Dosage and Administration:

Gwaitussin Plus Syrup should be taken after meals. The dosage varies depending on age:

• Adults and children over 12 years: 10-20ml (200-400mg guaifenesin) 3-4 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 1600mg guaifenesin.
• Children 6-12 years: 5-10ml (100-200mg guaifenesin) 3-4 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 800mg guaifenesin.
• Children 2-6 years: 2.5-5ml (50-100mg guaifenesin) every 6-8 hours. Maximum daily dose: 400mg guaifenesin.

Duration of Use:

Use Gwaitussin Plus Syrup for no more than two weeks. If no significant improvement is observed within 3-5 days, consult a doctor.

Important Precautions:

• Consult a doctor before using Gwaitussin Plus Syrup.
• Do not take it with other cold medications.
• Do not use it for persistent cough without a doctor's prescription.
• Ensure adequate fluid intake during treatment.

Composition:

5ml of syrup contains 100mg guaifenesin as the active ingredient. Excipients include non-crystallizing sorbitol solution, macrogol 400, xanthan gum, sodium benzoate, sodium metabisulphite, racemic menthol, racemic camphor, anise oil, glacial acetic acid, complex food additive "Aromatic dye solution “Pineapple color”, and purified water.

Interaction with Other Drugs:

• Combined use with antitussives can hinder sputum removal.
• Compatible with bronchodilators, antimicrobials, and cardiac glycosides.
