This innovative dietary supplement combines the efficacy of glybenclamide, a well-established anti-diabetic medication, with the traditional healing properties of carefully selected Chinese herbs. Formulated to address type 2 diabetes and its associated symptoms, this product offers a holistic approach to managing this chronic condition.
This supplement works on multiple levels:
Take orally, before meals, with warm boiled water. The recommended dosage is 2-3 times daily, with 5-10 "pellets" (or equivalent) per dose. Adjust dosage as directed by your physician. Begin with a low dose (5 pellets) and gradually increase as needed, never exceeding 10 pellets per dose or 30 pellets per day. Once improvement is observed, reduce the dosage to a maintenance level (typically 2 doses per day, before breakfast and lunch).
Clinical trials have shown this supplement to be generally well-tolerated. However, potential side effects may include:
Individuals over 65 with a history of severe hypoglycemia should monitor their blood sugar levels closely (fasting blood sugar < 7.8 mmol/L, postprandial < 11.1 mmol/L). This supplement should not be used with other blood sugar-lowering medications. Concurrent use with certain medications may significantly alter blood sugar levels (see detailed drug interactions below). Regular monitoring of blood sugar, urine protein, liver and kidney function, and eye exams are recommended during treatment. Use with caution in individuals with weakened physical condition, fever, nausea, vomiting, or adrenal insufficiency.
Increased Hypoglycemic Risk: Probenecid, allopurinol, alcohol, cimetidine, ranitidine hydrochloride, chloramphenicol, miconazole. Alcohol may also cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, and facial flushing. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
Increased Blood Sugar Risk: Glucocorticoid hormones, phenytoin, rifampicin.
If insulin therapy is required, subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous injection may be used. Because the effects of this supplement are not long-lasting, hypoglycemia may still occur; therefore, consume glucose or food after injection. Close monitoring by a physician is crucial to prolong remission periods.
Therapeutic blood concentrations of glybenclamide are reached within 30 minutes, with peak concentrations occurring at 2-3 hours after ingestion.
