iMed GT059-308B FFP2 Respirator with Valve (10 Pack) – NR, Type D
Product Description
The iMed GT059-308B FFP2 respirator with valve offers reliable respiratory protection for medical professionals and the general public against all types of airborne aerosols, including microbiological agents. This pack contains 10 individual disposable respirators (NR type), designed for single-shift use, and featuring Type D dust resistance.
Usage Instructions
- Unfold: Take the respirator and unfold it into a cup shape.
- Position: Place the lower part against your chin, with the nosepiece facing upwards.
- Secure: Position the upper strap over your head and behind your neck. Place the lower strap behind your ears.
- Adjust: Using both hands, gently mold the nosepiece to the shape of your nose by pressing the flexible metal strip.
- Seal Check: Completely cover the respirator with both hands without shifting it. Exhale; you should feel positive pressure inside. If you detect air leakage around the nose, readjust the nosepiece and repeat the test. If leakage persists, adjust the straps and retest. Ensure a tight seal before entering a contaminated area.
Importance of a Proper Seal
FFP2 respirators are most effective when a secure seal exists between the respirator and your face. A compromised seal reduces protection, allowing contaminated air to enter. For optimal performance, ensure a clean-shaven face, as beards or facial hair can interfere with the seal. Tie back long hair.
