Phosphacet Calcium Acetate 950mg Tablets (120 Count) offer a convenient way to manage phosphorus levels. Each scored tablet (960mg) contains 950mg of calcium acetate, allowing for easy division into two 475mg doses. Calcium acetate effectively binds phosphorus in the gastrointestinal tract, lowering serum phosphorus levels. It also helps restore positive calcium balance in patients with kidney disease of any severity, including those undergoing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
Adults should take one tablet during meals. The daily dosage should be determined individually by a physician based on calcium and phosphate blood tests. A typical course of treatment is one month, but this can be repeated as needed.
Phosphacet is recommended as a dietary supplement to provide additional calcium.
Individual intolerance to the components, hypercalcemia, pregnancy, breastfeeding.
