Belodez 3% Gel (100ml) – VladMiVa | Dental Root Canal Antiseptic & Dentin Cleaner
English Version:
Belodez 3% (100ml) by VladMiVa: Advanced Dental Antiseptic Gel
Belodez is a stabilized sodium hypochlorite solution, expertly formulated as a gel to effectively dissolve the organic dentin matrix. This includes both vital (chemically fixed) and necrotic tissues. Its unique gel consistency makes it ideal for antiseptic treatment of maxillary tooth cavities, offering sufficient viscosity, controlled flow, and gentle interaction with mucous membranes.
Key Benefits & Mechanism:
Belodez exhibits potent bactericidal activity against all Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, fungi, and viruses, while maintaining a non-cytotoxic profile at the root apex. The mechanism involves the substitution of hydrogen in protein amino groups (-HN-) with chlorine (-ClN-), forming chloramines, which are crucial for its antimicrobial efficacy. The alkaline properties (pH 10.0-12.0) further contribute to its disinfecting power.
The effectiveness of sodium hypochlorite depends on its concentration:
- Up to 1%: Primarily dissolves necrotic tissues, breakdown products, and pus.
- Higher Concentrations (3%, 5.2%, 10%): Act on vital tissues; higher concentrations increase the effect on vital cells.
Specific Applications:
Belodez 3% Gel: Ideal for dissolving pulp remnants after vital pulp extirpation. For more effective dissolution of mummified pulp remnants (after devitalization with strong medications or thermocoagulation), higher concentrations of 5.2% and 10% sodium hypochlorite are recommended. However, note that concentrated solutions can cause faster tooth tissue destruction than microbial cell destruction, requiring strict exposure limits (max 60 seconds) in clinical practice.
Optimizing Efficacy:
- Temperature: At 37°C, low-concentration solutions (0.5-1%) achieve disinfection speeds comparable to 3-5.2% solutions.
- Smear Layer Removal: Combine Belodez with EDTA-containing products (like Endo-Gie No. 2, Endo-Gel) to remove the smear layer. EDTA chelates dentin calcium, creating a loose structure in the canal. This combined approach ensures efficient cleaning of infected canals, widening, and significantly improves the adhesion of filling materials to canal walls.
Dilution for Universal Application: Diluting the 10% solution with distilled water in a 1:2 ratio creates a 3.3% solution suitable for universal dental applications.
Indications:
The Belodez dental material, based on stabilized sodium hypochlorite solution, is indicated for:
- 3% Solution (Gel):
- Medicinal treatment of root canals.
- Bactericidal, hemostatic, and whitening agent.
- Chemical canal enlargement in conjunction with EDTA solutions.
- Disinfection of tooth cavities.
- 5.2% and 10% Solutions:
- Root canal treatment following pulp diathermy coagulation or devitalization with strong medicinal agents.
- Disinfection of gutta-percha and metal posts.
- Disinfection of orthopedic and orthodontic appliances before intraoral placement.
Packaging:
