Preventing Tooth Decay

Specifically designed for the prevention of caries (cavities) in children and adolescents, Belak F strengthens tooth enamel and reduces its permeability, creating a protective barrier against decay. Fluoride deficiency contributes to rapid caries development; Belak F helps compensate for this deficiency.

Treating Tooth Sensitivity & Enamel Damage

Belak F also serves as a therapeutic agent for:

  • Hypersensitivity: Reduces pain and discomfort associated with sensitive teeth.
  • Wedge-shaped defects: Provides protection and support for damaged enamel.
  • Traumatic enamel injuries: Aids in the repair and protection of damaged enamel surfaces.
  • Other non-carious lesions: Offers comprehensive protection against various forms of enamel damage.

Belak F forms a protective film that effectively seals the tooth structure, acting as a barrier against harmful bacteria and acids. Its application method is similar to other leading fluoride varnishes like Profluorid varnish (Voco, Germany) and Fluor Protector N (Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein). Composition

Belak F contains a natural film-forming agent, next-generation aminofluoride, an antiseptic component, and a solvent.

Application

  1. Cleanse: Perform thorough dental hygiene cleaning.
  2. Dry: Wipe teeth with a cotton swab and isolate the surface to prevent moisture contamination. Dry thoroughly with clean, dry air.
  3. Apply: Using a small brush, apply Belak F varnish to the tooth surface, avoiding contact with the gums. The use of a dental dam and retractor is recommended for optimal application.
  4. Dry: Air dry for 3-5 minutes. The resulting film remains on the teeth for 10-12 hours.
  5. Post-Application: Instruct the patient to avoid hard foods and brushing for 12 hours after application.

Frequency

  • Caries Prevention (School Children): All teeth should be coated. Frequency depends on caries activity: I – twice yearly, II – four times yearly, III – six times yearly.
  • Therapeutic Use (Caries, Enamel Hypoplasia, Hypersensitivity): Apply up to four times, with a 3-day interval between applications.

Storage

Store in tightly closed containers, away from light and fire, at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C. Shelf life: 2 years.
