Baltic Medical Medium Stretch Elastic Compression Bandage, 2m x 10cm
Description
The Baltic Medical medium stretch elastic compression bandage is a woven elastic band of natural color, offering a medium level of stretch. Specifically designed for compression therapy, this bandage is ideal for various preventative and therapeutic applications on different body parts.
How it Works
- Consistent, even pressure on limb tissues.
- Reduced blood flow to a specific area.
- Minimized tissue deformation and stretching of muscles and ligaments.
- Support for weakened veins, preventing overfilling during normal contractions.
- Support and unloading of the musculoskeletal system during injuries and high-impact activities.
- Relief from swelling, pain, and heaviness in the legs, including during cramps.
Medical Indications
- Treatment and prevention of varicose veins in the upper and lower extremities; pre- and post-operative use.
- Prevention and alleviation of venous disorders.
- Prevention and treatment of post-thrombotic disease, lymphedema, and post-operative complications after sclerotherapy and phlebectomy.
- Prevention of venous thromboembolic complications during pre- and post-operative periods for internal organ surgery.
- Prevention of post-operative complications after surgical restoration of the capsular-ligamentous apparatus, bone, and muscle tissue; prevention of sprains, dislocations, and soft tissue, tendon, and joint deformation.
- Maintaining rest and preventing muscle atrophy after cast removal.
- Preventing hematoma formation in the post-operative period; fixation of joints in the upper and lower extremities for various dislocations and sprains.
- Reducing post-traumatic edema of various etiologies.
- Prevention and treatment of sports injuries (reducing muscle strain in the knee, elbow, foot, and hand during sports).
- Recommended during pregnancy, strenuous physical activity, sports, and long journeys.
- Applying compression dressings; securing bandages.
Possible Side Effects
The use of elastic bandages is generally safe when used according to these instructions. Possible side effects include ineffective application, skin irritation or friction, swelling, and numbness. If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.
Instructions for Use
- Do not wear for more than 24 hours.
- Consult your doctor before use to determine the appropriate application method and wear time. The duration and frequency of wear, along with rest periods, should be determined by your physician.
- When applying, each subsequent wrap should overlap the previous one by approximately 2/3. Monitor the pressure; discomfort or pain indicates incorrect application.
- Observe skin color (feet, hands, fingers). Whiteness or blueness, along with numbness, indicates the bandage is too tight. Remove and reapply, using less stretch.
- Consult a healthcare professional to determine the appropriate length and width based on the circumference of the limb (knee, elbow, foot, or hand).
Storage and Transportation
Elastic compression bandages should be stored in areas with a temperature of 5-25°C and humidity of 50-70%, at atmospheric pressure of 630-800 mm Hg. Keep at least 1 meter away from heating appliances and protect from direct sunlight and atmospheric influences.
