Baltic Medical Medium Stretch Elastic Compression Bandage, 4m x 10cm
Description:
The Baltic Medical medium stretch elastic compression bandage is a woven elastic band of medium elasticity, in a natural color, available in specific lengths and widths. This compression bandage is designed for applying compression to body parts for various preventative and therapeutic purposes.
How it Works:
- Creates consistent, even pressure on limb tissues.
- Reduces blood flow to a specific body area.
- Minimizes tissue deformation and stretching of muscles and ligaments.
- Supports weakened venous vessels during normal contraction, preventing overfilling.
- Supports and unloads the musculoskeletal system of limbs during injuries and high loads.
- Relieves swelling, pain, and heaviness in the legs, including during cramps.
Medical Indications:
- Treatment and prevention of varicose veins in the upper and lower extremities; pre- and postoperative use.
- Prevention or alleviation of venous diseases.
- Prevention and treatment of post-thrombotic disease, lymphedema, and prevention of post-operative complications after sclerotherapy and phlebectomy.
- Prevention of venous thromboembolic complications in the pre- and postoperative periods of surgery on internal organs.
- Prevention of postoperative complications after surgical restoration of the capsular-ligamentous apparatus, bone and muscle tissue; prevention of sprains, dislocations, and soft tissue, tendon, and joint deformation.
- Maintaining rest and preventing muscle atrophy after cast removal.
- Preventing hematoma formation in the postoperative period. Immobilization of upper and lower limb joints for various dislocations and sprains.
- Reducing post-traumatic edema of various etiologies.
- Prevention and treatment of sports injuries (reducing muscle strain in the knee, elbow, foot, and hand during sports).
- Recommended during pregnancy, strenuous physical activity, sports, and long journeys.
- Applying compression dressings; securing bandages.
Side Effects:
Using the elastic bandage is safe when following these instructions. Possible side effects include ineffective use, skin friction and irritation, swelling, and numbness. If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.
Instructions for Use:
- Maximum usage: 24 hours.
- Consult your doctor before use regarding individual application methods and wearing time. The wearing time/frequency and rest periods should be determined by a physician.
- When applying, each subsequent wrap should overlap the previous one by approximately ⅔. Monitor the pressure; discomfort or pain indicates incorrect application.
- Observe skin color (feet, hands, fingers). White or bluish discoloration and numbness indicate the bandage is too tight. Remove and reapply, reducing tension.
- Consult a specialist for bandage length and width selection, considering the circumference of the limb (knee, elbow, foot, or hand).
Storage and Transportation:
Elastic compression bandages should be stored in areas with a temperature of 5–25°C and humidity of 50–70%, at atmospheric pressure of 630–800 mmHg, at least 1 meter from heating appliances, protected from direct sunlight and atmospheric influences.
