Baltic Medical Compression Bandage: Medium Stretch, 3m x 8cm
Description:
The Baltic Medical medium-stretch compression bandage is a woven elastic band made from natural materials. It provides targeted compression for various preventative and therapeutic purposes. Available in a standard 3m x 8cm size.
How it Works:
- Applying consistent, even pressure to the limb’s tissues.
- Reducing blood flow to a specific body area.
- Minimizing tissue deformation and stretching of muscles and ligaments.
- Supporting weakened veins, preventing overfilling during normal contractions.
- Providing support and unloading the musculoskeletal system of limbs during injuries and high loads.
- Reducing swelling, pain, and heaviness in the legs, including during cramps.
Medical Indications:
- Treatment and prevention of varicose veins in the upper and lower extremities, pre- and post-surgery.
- Preventing or alleviating venous disorders.
- Preventing and treating post-thrombotic disease, lymphedema, and post-operative complications after sclerotherapy and phlebectomy.
- Preventing venous thromboembolic complications pre- and post-operatively during surgery on internal organs.
- Preventing post-operative complications after surgical restoration of the capsular-ligamentous apparatus, bone, and muscle tissues; preventing sprains, dislocations, and soft tissue, tendon, and joint deformation.
- Maintaining rest and preventing muscle atrophy after cast removal.
- Preventing hematoma formation post-operatively. Immobilizing joints of the upper and lower extremities for various dislocations and sprains.
- Reducing post-traumatic edema of various etiologies.
- Preventing and treating sports injuries (reducing muscle strain in the knee, elbow, foot, and hand during sports).
- Recommended during pregnancy, with strenuous physical activity, during sports, and long journeys.
- Applying compression bandages and securing dressings.
Possible Side Effects:
The use of elastic bandages is generally safe when used according to instructions. However, potential side effects include ineffective use, skin irritation and rubbing, edema, and numbness. If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.
Application:
Duration of Use:
No more than 24 hours.
Consultation:
Consult your doctor before use for personalized application and wearing duration. The wearing time and schedule (including rest periods) should be determined by a physician.
Application Technique:
Each subsequent wrap should overlap the previous one by approximately 2/3. Monitor the pressure; discomfort or pain indicates improper application. Observe skin color (feet, hands, fingers). Whiteness or blueness and numbness signify excessive tightness. Remove and reapply, reducing stretch.
Sizing:
Consult a healthcare professional to determine the appropriate length and width based on the circumference of the limb (knee, elbow, foot, or hand).
Storage and Transportation:
Store in a room with a temperature of 5-25°C and humidity of 50-70%, at atmospheric pressure of 630-800 mmHg, at least 1 meter away from heating appliances, and protected from direct sunlight and atmospheric influences.
