These Class 1 (18-22 mmHg) Badra compression stockings are hospital-grade medical textiles indicated for: venous thromboembolism (VTE) prophylaxis before, during, and after surgery and childbirth (including Cesarean sections); patients in intensive care or prolonged bed rest; and post-venous surgery compression therapy. Suitable for men and women. These surgical stockings are used during labor and the postpartum period (3-6 days), and for surgeries up to 45 minutes in patients predisposed to thrombosis. They're also used during lengthy surgical procedures, in intensive care, for prolonged immobility after injury or illness, and during long flights.
To determine the correct size, measure: ankle circumference; thigh circumference (5 cm below the groin); and heel-to-groin length. Refer to the size chart in the product images for your correct size.
Put on stockings in the morning before surgery, before any swelling appears. If not worn in the morning, rest with elevated legs for 10-15 minutes beforehand. Continue wearing the same stockings post-surgery. Removal should only be determined by your physician when the risk of thrombosis is minimal.
For optimal compression, hand wash daily in lukewarm water (under 30°C) using a mild, liquid, low-alkaline detergent or delicate fabric wash. Avoid powders and fabric softeners. Rinse thoroughly and gently air dry on a towel away from heat. Do not wring.
