Contraindications

Absolute Contraindications

• Chronic occlusive arterial diseases of the lower extremities (posterior tibial artery systolic pressure below 80 mmHg).
• Severe diabetic polyneuropathy and angiopathy.
• Decompensated cardiopulmonary insufficiency.
• Non-venous trophic ulcers.
• Acute soft tissue infection.
• Septic phlebitis.

Relative Contraindications

• Severe heart failure (increased compression may impair gas exchange and cause necrosis).
• Diabetes mellitus (risk of fragile vessel damage, hemorrhages, and thrombi).
• Acute inflammatory processes affecting vascular walls, phlebitis, and thrombophlebitis (inflammation narrows blood vessels, impairing blood supply; increased pressure may lead to hypoxia, thrombosis, ulcers, and necrosis).
• Skin diseases, open wounds, purulent infections, and allergic reactions to materials (fibers, LYCRA®, cotton, silicone).

Proper Use and Care

• Put on stockings in the morning.
• Wear stockings throughout the day without removing.
• Wash stockings daily by hand in lukewarm water with pH-neutral soap.
• Air dry; do not wring, machine dry, or dry on a radiator or damp towel.

Sizing

Measurements should be taken in the morning before swelling occurs. Refer to the size chart (included with product images) for precise measurement points. Crucial measurements include: b (ankle circumference), d (circumference below the knee), and g (thigh circumference 5cm below the groin). The distance between points A and G (for stockings) is also important.
