Contraindications
Absolute Contraindications
- Chronic occlusive arterial diseases of the lower extremities (posterior tibial artery systolic pressure below 80 mmHg).
- Severe diabetic polyneuropathy and angiopathy.
- Decompensated cardiopulmonary insufficiency.
- Non-venous trophic ulcers.
- Acute soft tissue infection.
- Septic phlebitis.
Relative Contraindications
- Severe heart failure (increased compression may cause impaired gas exchange and necrosis).
- Diabetes mellitus (risk of fragile vessel damage, hemorrhage, and thrombus formation).
- Any acute inflammatory processes affecting vascular walls, phlebitis, and thrombophlebitis (inflammation narrows blood vessels, impairing blood supply; increased pressure can lead to hypoxia, thrombus formation, ulcers, and necrosis).
- Skin diseases, open wounds, purulent tissue infections, allergic sensitivity to materials (fibers, LYCRA®, cotton, silicone).
Proper Use & Care
- Put on stockings in the morning.
- Wear stockings throughout the day without removing them.
- Wash stockings by hand in warm water with a pH-neutral soap (like baby soap) every evening.
- Air dry; do not wring out or machine dry. Avoid drying on radiators or damp towels.
Sizing
Measurements should be taken in the morning before any swelling occurs. Refer to the size chart and accurately measure all points indicated (images are provided on the product page). The most important measurements are: b (ankle circumference), d (circumference below the knee), and g (thigh circumference 5cm below the groin). The distance between points A and G is also crucial for stocking length.
