Allow the oven to cool completely and naturally after each use. Remove ashes and embers, and cover with the protective cover. Never use water to cool the oven. Avoid getting the oven wet; if it does get wet, allow it to dry naturally. Outdoor use under a shelter is recommended to protect from the elements; indoor use requires proper ventilation and a chimney.
