The main active ingredient Ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate Form of release Tablets Dosage 125 mg Pharmacological action MEXIBEL is a drug that is used as part of the complex therapy of functional and organic diseases of the nervous system: with the consequences of acute disorders of cerebral circulation; encephalopathy of various origins; with mild traumatic brain injury and its consequences; mild cognitive disorders against the background of atherosclerotic lesions of the vessels of the brain. If there is no improvement, or you feel worse, you should consult a doctor. Route of administration and doses The dose of the drug that suits you will be determined by your doctor, depending on the severity of the disease. Always use this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. If in doubt, consult your doctor. Mexibel is taken orally. The recommended dose for adults is 0.25 to 0.5 g per day, divided into 2-3 doses. The maximum dose per day is 0.6-0.8 g. The duration of treatment is from two to six weeks. Treatment should be stopped gradually, reducing the dose within 2-3 days. Use in children and adolescents Children and adolescents under 18 years of age should not take the drug. If you have taken more MEXIBEL than you should The main symptoms of an overdose of MEXIBEL are sleep disturbances: insomnia, in some cases drowsiness. Treatment, as a rule, is not required, since the symptoms disappear on their own within a day. In severe cases of insomnia, see your doctor for appropriate treatment. If you miss a dose of MEXIBEL If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is time for the next dose, do not take the missed dose and continue taking the drug as usual. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) if you miss a dose. Use during pregnancy and lactation If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, consult your doctor before using the drug. The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended. Driving and operating machines MEXIBEL may cause drowsiness. During the period of use of the drug, care must be taken when driving vehicles and working with mechanisms. MEXIBEL enhances the effect of these drugs. MEXIBEL reduces the effect of ethyl alcohol. Contraindications Do not take the drug if you are hypersensitive to methylethylpyridinol succinate or any of the components of the drug (see Composition section); you have severe liver and / or kidney dysfunction; you are pregnant or breastfeeding; the drug is contraindicated in children under 18 years of age. or any of the above applies to you, tell your doctor. Composition The active substance of the drug MEKSIBEL is methylethylpyridinol succinate – 125 mg (per tablet). The excipients are lactose monohydrate; methylcellulose (E461); povidone K-25 (E1201); calcium stearate (E470); silicon dioxide colloidal anhydrous (E551); croscarmellose sodium (E480); potato starch; opadray white. The composition of the Opadry white shell: polyvinyl alcohol, partially hydrolyzed (E1203); macrogol/polyethylene glycol (E1521); talc (E553b); titanium dioxide (E171). Side effects Like all medicines, MEXIBEL can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Contact your doctor immediately if you feel any of the following adverse reactions become serious. Call your doctor right away if you experience any side effects not listed in this package leaflet. The following adverse reactions may occur: nausea; dry mouth; diarrhea, flatulence; sleep disturbances (drowsiness or sleep disturbance); allergic reactions.
