Transparent, colorless or yellowish solution with the smell of alcohol. Method of application and dosageOtisfen is applied topically in adults and children from birth, by instillation into the external auditory canal 2-3 times a day, 4 drops. To avoid contact of the cold solution with the auricle, the bottle should be warmed in the palms before use. The duration of the use of Otisfen is not more than 10 days, after which the doctor should review the prescribed treatment. Use during pregnancy and lactation There are no restrictions on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation, provided that the eardrum is intact. The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms Does not affect the ability to drive a car and work with mechanisms. Precautions It is necessary to ensure the integrity of the eardrum before starting the use of the drug. If used in a perforated tympanic membrane, the drug may come into contact with the organs of the middle ear and lead to adverse reactions. Information for athletes: The medicinal product contains an active ingredient capable of giving a positive reaction during doping control. Application in childhood: Used in children from birth only as directed by a doctor. Interactions with other drugs The data available to date do not suggest a clinically significant interaction. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active substances, including lidocaine, or any of the excipients listed in the section (“Medication composition”). Perforation of the tympanic membrane of infectious or traumatic origin (see section “Precautions”). Composition 1 g of the solution contains: active substances: phenazone – 40 mg, lidocaine hydrochloride – 10 mg; excipients: sodium thiosulfate, ethyl alcohol 96%, glycerin, purified water. Overdose Not described. Side effects Like all medicines, Otisfen can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
