Name:
Skinonorm gel dnar.prim.150mg1g in tubes 30g in pack No. 1
Description:
Opaque gel from white to yellowish white. The main active ingredient Azelaic acid Product form gel Dosage 30 g Pharmacological properties It is believed that the therapeutic efficacy of azelaic acid in the treatment of acne is due to its antimicrobial effect and direct effect on follicular hyperkeratosis. Clinically, there is a significant decrease in the density of colonization of Propionibacterium acnes and a decrease in the fraction of free fatty acids in skin lipids. The mechanism of the effect of azelaic acid on the pathogenetic links in the development of rosacea has not been fully elucidated. Several studies indicate that azelaic acid has an anti-inflammatory effect by reducing the formation of pro-inflammatory free radicals. After external application of the gel, azelaic acid penetrates into all layers of the skin. Penetration occurs at a greater rate through the affected skin than through intact skin. Indications for use Acne (mild and moderate papulo-pustular acne on the skin of the face), papulo-pustular rosacea. Dosage and administration Externally. Before using Skinonorm, the skin should be cleansed with water or a mild cleansing cosmetic product, then dried. The gel is applied to the affected areas of the skin and gently rubbed 2 times a day (morning and evening). It is important that Skinonorm gel be used regularly during the entire period of treatment. The duration of the course of treatment may vary depending on the individual picture of the disease and is determined by its severity. In case of skin irritation, either the amount of applied gel or the frequency of application of the drug should be reduced to 1 time per day until the irritation disappears. If necessary, you can temporarily interrupt treatment for a few days. During treatment with Skinonorm gel, occlusive coatings of affected skin areas should not be used. Acne: In patients with acne, a noticeable improvement is noted, as a rule, after 4 weeks, however, for best results, Skinonorm gel should be used continuously for several months. If there is no improvement after 1 month of acne treatment or if the disease worsens, stop using the gel and consider other treatment options. Rosacea: Noticeable improvement is usually noted after 4 weeks of treatment. If there is no improvement after 2 months of treatment for rosacea, or if the disease worsens, stop using the gel and consider other treatment options. Application during pregnancy and lactation There have been no adequate and well-controlled studies of azelaic acid preparations for external use in pregnant women. Care must be taken when prescribing Skinonorm gel to pregnant women. It is not known whether azelaic acid is excreted in breast milk in vivo, but in vitro experiment shows that the penetration of the drug into breast milk is possible. The amount of azelaic acid that can potentially enter the body of a child with breast milk is minimal, however, women who are breastfeeding should use Skinonorm gel with caution. The child should not come into contact with the skin and breast treated with the drug. Precautions The drug is for external use only. Skinonorm Gel contains benzoic acid, which causes mild irritation to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes, and propylene glycol, which may cause skin irritation. Avoid getting the drug in the eyes, mouth and mucous membranes. In case of accidental contact, rinse eyes, mouth and/or mucous membranes thoroughly with plenty of water. If eye irritation persists, a physician should be consulted. Hands should be washed after each application of the drug. It is recommended not to use alcohol-based cleansers, infusions and exfoliating agents when using Skinonorm gel for the treatment of papulopustular rosacea. In adolescents aged 12-18 years, dose adjustment of the drug is not required.
