Metronidazole 10mg/g gel for external use is a colorless to light yellow gel with a greenish or grayish tint. Main active ingredient Metronidazole Product form Gel Dosage 10 mg/g Pharmacological action Metronidazole is a synthetic antimicrobial and antiprotozoal agent with a wide spectrum of activity from the group of imidazoles. Metronidazole is used for topical treatment of rosacea (including post-steroid acne). If there is no improvement or you feel worse, you should consult a doctor. Dosage and Administration Always take this medicine exactly as directed by your healthcare professional. If in doubt, consult your doctor. Metronidazole should be used: The average duration of treatment is 3 to 4 months. The recommended duration of treatment should not be exceeded. However, the duration of treatment can be increased by another 3-4 months by the attending physician, depending on the severity of the patient’s condition. The drug should be applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. After applying the drug, patients can use non-comedogenic cosmetics and cosmetics that do not contain astringents. Use in children is not recommended. Frequency unknown skin irritation, transient redness of the skin of the face , tingling or numbness in the extremities, nausea, metallic taste.
