Description:
Colorless transparent liquid with a smell of menthol. The main active ingredient is Menthol + procaine + benzocaine Release form: 40 ml in glass bottles. Each vial, together with the leaflet, is placed in a cardboard box (packaging No. 1). Dosage 40 ml Indications for use – Neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia (to relieve pain); – itching dermatoses (as an antipruritic agent). Dosage and administration Externally. Apply to the skin over the affected area and to the affected areas of the skin, rub 2-3 times a day. The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days. If the pain syndrome and / or skin itching persists for more than 7 days, it is necessary to consult a doctor and reconsider therapy. Special patient populations Children There is no experience of use in children. It is not recommended to use Menovazin in children and adolescents under the age of 18 years. Use during pregnancy and lactation There are no data on the effect of the drug on the body during pregnancy and lactation. Menovazin should not be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Precautions Do not apply to broken or allergic skin. Do not apply on face. Do not allow the solution to get into the eyes, since the menthol contained in the drug can cause severe irritation. Local anesthetics should not be used in patients with complete heart block. The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and engage in potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentrated attention and speed of psychomotor reactions. Interaction with other drugs The components of the drug reduce the antibacterial effect of sulfanilamide drugs. Enhance the effects of drugs with local anesthetic action. When used simultaneously with other topical drugs, new compounds with unforeseen effects may be created. Sulfonamides Benzocaine is metabolized to para-aminobenzoic acid and may antagonize the effects of sulfonamides. Cholinesterase Inhibitors Cholinesterase inhibitors inhibit the metabolism of benzocaine. Contraindications – Hypersensitivity to the active or excipients that make up the drug; – history of allergic reactions to local anesthetics such as procaine, butacaine or any other “-caine” anesthetics; – Suspicion of methemoglobinemia. The drug should not be applied to large areas of skin with manifestations of eczema, sunburn, infection or damage. One bottle (40 ml) contains active ingredients: levomenthol – 1.0 g, procaine hydrochloride – 0.4 g, benzocaine – 0.4 g; excipients: ethyl alcohol 70%. Overdose With prolonged use, dizziness, general weakness, lowering blood pressure are possible. Therapy is symptomatic. Side effects Possible skin irritation, rash.
