Transparent yellow oily liquid with the smell of camphor. Active ingredient: racemic camphor – 3 g; auxiliary substance: sunflower oil – up to 30 ml. Pharmacotherapeutic group Other topical agents for pain in the joints and muscles. ATH code: MO2AX10. Pharmacological properties Pharmacodynamics The drug has an antiseptic, locally irritating, local analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Pharmacokinetics When applied to the surface of the skin, it is partially absorbed, undergoes oxidation. Oxidation products combine with glucuronic acid and are excreted by the kidneys. Part of camphor is excreted unchanged by the lungs and bile. Indications for use Symptomatic treatment of musculo-articular pain, prevention of bedsores. Dosage and administration Externally. Apply to painful areas 2-3 times a day. To prevent the formation of bedsores, a skin area is treated 2-3 times a day. When applying the solution, movements that injure the skin should be avoided. It is not recommended to use more than 7 days. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor, taking into account the characteristics of the disease, the tolerance of the drug and the effect achieved. Interaction with other medicinal products No studies have been conducted to evaluate interactions with other medicinal products. It is not recommended to use simultaneously with other means for external use. Overdose Cases of overdose with external use have not been recorded.
