Name:
Hilak Forte drops for inside 100ml in a pack. No. 1
Description:
Transparent from light yellow to yellow-brown color solution with a characteristic sour smell. Release form Drops Pharmacological action Pharmacodynamics In the intestines of a healthy person, especially in the ileum, colon and rectum, there are bacteria that are representatives of the normal microflora, for example, Lactobacillus (produces lactic acid), Escherichia coli, Streptococcus faecalis. Lactic acid bacteria are involved in the enzymatic breakdown of food and maintaining the digestion process. Normal intestinal microflora forms symbionts that adversely affect the growth of pathogenic microorganisms, prevent the formation of toxins and their penetration into the body. In addition, the intestinal microflora is involved in the synthesis of vitamins (B6, B12 and K). Due to external influences, such as taking antibiotics, radiation therapy, stomach surgery, eating poor-quality or unfamiliar food, the normal intestinal microflora can be disturbed and pathogenic microorganisms can grow. Subsequent symptoms such as fullness, flatulence, diarrhea or constipation are a reflection of an imbalance in the intestinal symbionts. General exhaustion, increased susceptibility to infections, some skin diseases such as acne, eczema, may be associated with a violation of the composition of the intestinal microflora. For their existence, intestinal symbionts need an environment with a certain acidity. Hilak Forte contains germ-free aqueous substrates of oomen products of lactic acid-producing microorganisms (Lactobacillus acidophilus DSM 4149, Lactobacillus helveticus DSM 4183), gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial symbionts of the small and large intestines (Escherichia coli DSM 4087, Enterococcus faecalis DSM 4086). Biosynthetic lactic acid, which is part of Hilak forte, regulates the value of acidity. The metabolic products of microorganisms contained in Hilak fort have a beneficial effect on digestion (for example, in the case of anacidity, putrefaction or fermentation processes), prevent the development of pathogenic microorganisms, help maintain the function of the intestinal mucosa and restore intestinal microflora. Pharmacokinetics The pharmacokinetics of Hilak forte have not been studied. Indications for use indigestion, which are accompanied by symptoms such as flatulence, diarrhea, constipation; during and after treatment with antibiotics or sulfonamides, as well as radiation therapy; violation of metabolic processes in the liver; disorders of the gastrointestinal tract due to low acidity; chronic atrophic gastroenteritis (“senile bowel syndrome”); disorders of the gastrointestinal tract associated with climate change (in particular, with a trip to warm countries); symptoms associated with chronic intestinal intoxication, such as nausea, a tendency to fatigue; chronic allergic skin diseases such as eczema or hives. Hilak forte is used in adults, adolescents and children over 2 years of age. The use of this drug is supportive. It can only be used in combination with other effective therapeutic measures. In particular, in the presence of diarrhea, the use of Hilak forte does not replace the need to replenish fluid loss and other measures, such as temporary abstinence from eating solid foods. Dosage and administration Hilak forte is taken orally before or during meals, diluted in a small amount of liquid (except for milk). Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: at the beginning of treatment, 40-60 drops 3 times a day. Children from 2 to 12 years old: at the beginning of treatment, 20-40 drops 3 times a day. After the condition improves, the dose can be halved. Persons with increased acidity of gastric juice and heartburn should divide the daily dose into more than 3 doses. The duration of use is determined individually. Shake the bottle before use. Use during pregnancy and lactation The potential risk of using the drug Hilak forte during pregnancy and lactation is unknown, since there are no data from epidemiological studies. The decision to use Hilak forte during pregnancy and lactation should be made individually, after assessing the benefit-risk ratio by the doctor. Precautions It is not recommended to take this drug with milk and dairy products. Due to the acidic pH, Hilak Forte causes milk to coagulate. In case of more severe symptoms, such as acute diarrhea or blood in the stool, if diarrhea persists for more than 2 days, or other persistent or unclear gastrointestinal symptoms, a doctor should be consulted. In case of diarrhea, especially in children and elderly patients, the focus should be on replenishing the loss of fluid and electrolytes. Seek medical attention whenever diarrhea persists for more than 2 days or is accompanied by blood in the stool, fever, or circulatory problems. The use of this drug is an adjuvant therapy and, in case of illness, the drug should be used in addition to other effective treatment measures. Especially in diarrhea, Hilak forte cannot be used instead of the necessary treatment with fluid replacement and other measures, such as temporary abstinence from solid food (short-term liquid diet, such as tea). Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine. Use in patients with impaired liver and kidney function There are no data regarding the specifics of the use in patients with impaired liver and kidney function. Interaction with other drugs Simultaneous use with antacids should be avoided. Under the influence of antacids, it is possible to neutralize lactic acid, which is part of the Hilak forte preparation. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; acute diarrhea with high body temperature and blood in the stool; children’s age up to 2 years.
