Patients with asthma, hay fever, edema and hyperplasia of the nasal mucosa or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (especially in combination with pollinosis-like symptoms) and patients with hypersensitivity to painkillers and antirheumatic substances of any type are at greater risk of developing asthma attacks (analgesic intolerance/analgesic asthma) , swelling of the skin and mucous membranes (called Quincke’s edema) or urticaria compared to other patients. In such patients, Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg/g should be used with caution and under medical supervision. The same applies to patients with hypersensitivity (allergy) to other substances who develop skin reactions, itching or urticaria. Make sure children do not touch areas of the skin where the medicine has been applied. If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, consult a doctor. Indications for use Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg/g is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug for topical use. For local or supportive treatment: muscle pain of rheumatic origin, degenerative joint diseases with pain syndrome (arthrosis), inflammatory rheumatoid diseases of the joints and spine, edema and inflammation of the soft tissues adjacent to damaged joints (bursitis, tendonitis, tendovaginitis, lesions of ligaments and joint capsules ), stiffness of the movements of the shoulder joint, pain in the sacrum, myalgia, lumbago, sports injuries, bruises, dislocations and sprains. Dolgit® cream is used in adults and children aged 14 years and older. Dosage and Administration Always use this medicine according to the package insert or as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure how to use this medicine. Recommended dose: Apply Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg/g 3-4 times a day. Depending on the area of the affected surface, you need to use a strip of cream 4-10 cm long, which corresponds to 2-5 g of cream (100-250 mg ibuprofen). The maximum daily dose is 20 g of cream, which corresponds to 1000 mg of ibuprofen. Method of application For external use only! Do not apply inside! Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg/g is applied to the skin and rubbed in with light movements. In cases of severe hematomas or dislocations, it may be helpful to apply an airtight dressing at the beginning of treatment. Penetration of the active substance through the skin can be enhanced by iontophoresis (a special form of electrotherapy). Dolgit® cream, 50 mg/g should be applied under the cathode (negative field). The current strength should be 0.1-0.5 mA per 5 cm2 of the electrode surface, the duration of treatment is about 10 minutes. Duration of treatment The duration of treatment is determined by your doctor. Usually application within 2-3 weeks is enough. The therapeutic effect when used for a period longer than specified has not been proven. If you feel that the effect of Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg/g is too strong or too weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist: If you are using Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg/g for a longer period than you should dosage when applied topically, remove the cream and rinse the skin with water. Contact your physician in case of overuse or accidental ingestion. There is no specific antidote for the drug. If you have any questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Use during pregnancy and lactation If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or think you may be pregnant, or you are planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using the drug. Pregnancy Contact your doctor if you become pregnant while using Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg/g. Do not use ibuprofen during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy without first talking to your doctor. Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg/g should not be used in late pregnancy due to increased risk to mother and child. Breast-feeding Only a small amount of the active substance ibuprofen and its decay products passes into breast milk. Since no negative effects on nursing infants have been identified so far, there is no need to interrupt breastfeeding in the case of short-term treatment. However, do not exceed the daily dosage of 3-4 applications, each of which uses strips of cream 4-10 cm long, and early cessation of breastfeeding should also be considered in case of prolonged treatment. Breastfeeding women should not use this drug in the breast area to avoid absorption by the child. Interactions with other drugs Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or may take other medicines. When used according to the instructions, the interaction of Dolgit® Cream, 50 mg / g with other drugs was not registered. Contraindications If you are allergic to ibuprofen, the preservative methyl 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, propylene glycol, other pain or antirheumatic drugs, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in the ingredients section). on open wounds, inflamed areas or infections of the skin, as well as eczema or mucous membranes; in the last trimester of pregnancy. Side effects Like all medicines, this medicine can have side effects, although not everyone gets them. Uncommon side effects: Hypersensitivity reactions such as local allergic reactions (contact dermatitis) are possible. In very rare cases, bronchospastic reactions are possible in patients with a predisposition to them. In the event that Dolgit® cream, 50 mg/g is used on a large area of the skin for a long period, adverse reactions affecting a specific organ system or the entire body cannot be ruled out, which may occur after the systematic use of ibuprofen-containing drugs. Sodium methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate may cause hypersensitivity reactions as well as delayed-type allergic reactions.
