Name:
Recreol.
Description:
Homogeneous white or white with a yellowish tint ointment with a specific odor. The main active ingredient is Dexpanthenol. Release formOintment for external use. 30 g or 50 g each in an aluminum tube with a protective aluminum membrane on the neck and a cone-shaped device for piercing the membrane in a plastic screw-on bush. 1 tube in a cardboard box along with instructions for use. Dosage 5% 50 g. Pharmacodynamics Dexpanthenol in tissues is converted into pantothenic acid, which is an integral part of coenzyme A (CoA) and plays an important role in maintaining the normal function of the epithelium, increasing fibroblast proliferation and accelerating skin regeneration in the process of wound healing. This process of cell division and formation of new skin tissues restores skin elasticity and stimulates wound healing. Pharmacokinetics Absorption Dexpanthenol is rapidly absorbed in the skin, immediately converted to pantothenic acid, which is widely distributed in body tissues, mainly in the form of coenzyme A. Distribution After topical application of the drug, pantothenic acid is concentrated in the hair, hair roots, nails, epidermis and dermis. Withdrawal Pantothenic acid is excreted mainly unchanged in the urine and to a lesser extent in the feces. Indications for use For the treatment of superficial skin lesions (small burns and cracks in the skin, abrasions and cracks in the skin), inflammation of the skin (which occurs when exposed to radiation therapy, phototherapy or ultraviolet radiation). Method of application and doses For external use. Usually, the ointment is applied in a thin layer to the damaged area of the skin once or several times a day. The duration of the course of treatment depends on the nature and severity of the disease. Children Dexpanthenol can be used in children. Patients with impaired renal and hepatic activity Studies have not been conducted in patients with impaired renal and hepatic activity. Elderly patients No studies have been conducted in elderly patients (aged 65 years and older). Most studies of topical effects of dexpanthenol have been short-term, typically 3-4 weeks. Use during pregnancy and lactation Pregnancy: studies of the possible effects of dexpanthenol on reproduction have not been conducted. There are no data on the use of dexpanthenol in pregnant women. Animal studies show no direct or indirect harmful effects on reproductive toxicity. Breast-feeding period: no effect on breast-fed newborns/infants is expected, since the systemic effect of dexpanthenol on a breast-feeding woman is negligible. Recreol can be used during breastfeeding. Precautions Avoid accidental contact with dexpanthenol in the eyes. The use of dexpanthenol should be discontinued if signs of an allergic reaction occur. Patients should consult their physician if they do not feel better or feel worse after 14 days of use. Recreol contains lanolin and cetyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (eg contact dermatitis). Interactions with other drugs Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines that you have recently taken, have taken or might take. There is no evidence that Recreol® ointment interacts with other medicines.
