Description:
GeloMyrtol®. Oval soft translucent gelatin capsules. The contents of the capsules are an oily, transparent, colorless liquid with a characteristic odor. The main active substance Myrtol Product form enteric-soluble capsules Dosage 120 mg Pharmacological action Expectorants, except for combination with antitussives. This drug facilitates sputum discharge in acute and chronic bronchitis, and also alleviates the symptoms of sinusitis. The active ingredients of the GeloMyrtol® capsule help thin and reduce the viscosity of sputum and nasopharyngeal secretions and improve their evacuation. Possible side effects Like all medicines, GeloMyrtol® can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Pregnancy: Animal studies have shown no direct or indirect harmful effects on the fetus in utero. Animal studies, as well as many years of therapeutic experience with GeloMyrtol® capsules, do not show direct or indirect harmful effects on the fetus in the womb. Precautions: Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking GeloMyrtol® – If your symptoms persist or worsen, or you develop shortness of breath or fever, or if you develop sputum containing blood or pus, you should contact your doctor immediately. – If you suffer from bronchial asthma, whooping cough or other respiratory diseases accompanied by severe hypersensitivity of the respiratory system, you should take GeloMyrtol® capsules after consulting your doctor. The contents of the capsule should not be used for inhalation for the treatment of children. GeloMyrtol® contains sorbitol. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some types of sugar, contact your doctor before taking GeloMyrtol®. Interactions with other drugs If the drug is taken as recommended, there are no known interactions with other drugs. Contraindications Do not take GeloMyrtol® if you have an inflammatory disease of the stomach, intestines or biliary tract, or if you have severe liver disease, if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients (listed in section 6). GeloMyrtol® does not should be taken by children under 6 years of age. Composition Active ingredient: one capsule contains 120 mg distillate of a mixture of purified essential oils of eucalyptus, sweet orange, myrtle and lemon (66:32:1:1).
