PharmacodynamicsIn vitro conditions, it was demonstrated that amylmetacresol are antiseptics and have antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. In vitro studies have shown a bactericidal effect against microorganisms such as Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus influenza and Moraxella catarrhalis after contact for 1 minute, as well as activity against enveloped viruses, including influenza virus, para-influenza, respiratory syncytial virus , cytomegalovirus and coronavirus after 1-2 minutes of contact with 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmethacresol alone and in combination.
