Description:
Gedelix® syrup – a thickish liquid from yellow to yellow-brown in color with a peculiar odor; turbidity and precipitation are possible, which does not affect the quality and effect of the drug. The main active ingredient Ivy leaf extract Release form Syrup Dosage 100 ml Special instructions The composition of the drug Gedelix® syrup includes sorbitol. If you suffer from intolerance to certain sugars, please consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Gedelix® syrup contains macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate. Macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate can cause stomach upset and diarrhea. Pharmacological action Means of plant origin. It has anti-inflammatory, wound healing, antioxidant effect. Saponins exhibit antibacterial and antifungal activity. Triterpenoids alpha-hederin, hederosaponins have antispasmodic, mucolytic and expectorant effects. Flavonoids (rutin, kaempferol derivatives) improve microcirculation, exhibit hepato- and nephroprotective properties, increase diuresis, promote the excretion of uric acid salts. Pharmacokinetics Pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of the drug have not been studied. Indications for use Gedelix® syrup is a medicinal product based on components of plant origin, used for the symptomatic treatment of acute respiratory diseases and chronic inflammatory diseases of the bronchi. If symptoms persist while taking the drug, or if you experience shortness of breath, fever, sputum mixed with pus or blood, you should immediately consult a doctor. Method of administration and doses of Gedelix® syrup should always be used in strict accordance with these instructions for use. If you have any doubts, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Recommended dosage (unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor) Adults and children over 12 years old: 1 scoop (5 ml) of syrup 3 times a day (corresponding to 120 mg of extract per day) Children 6 to 11 years old: 1/2 scoop (2.5 ml) syrup 4 times a day (corresponding to 80 mg of extract per day) Children 2 to 5 years old: 1/2 scoop (2.5 ml) of syrup 3 times a day (corresponding to 60 mg of extract per day ) To ensure dosing accuracy, you must use the measuring spoon included in the package. Taking the drug to children aged 2-4 years is not recommended without consulting a doctor. Method of application For oral administration. Gedelix® syrup is recommended to be taken undiluted and washed down with a sufficient amount of liquid (drinking water). Composition 100 ml of syrup contains 0.8 g of ivy leaf extract (2.2 – 2.9:1) extractant (ethanol 50% vol. : propylene glycol 98:2). The finished medicinal product does not contain ethyl alcohol (ethanol). Excipients: macrogolglycerin hydroxystearate, star anise oil, hydroxyethyl cellulose, sorbitol decrystallizing solution, propylene glycol, glycerin, purified water. Overdose If you mistakenly take one or two single doses (for example, for adults, one or two scoops (5 ml or 10 ml) more than you should, this will usually not cause any undesirable effects.
