Stevia Leaf 50g
Description:
Stevia leaf boasts a remarkably rich composition, containing dozens of vital substances beneficial to human health. These include vitamins (including D, B vitamins, and PP), antioxidants, organic acids (formic, humic, and others), approximately 20 amino acids, nearly all essential minerals and trace elements, essential oils, glycosides, and much more. The leaves also contain stevioside, a unique compound responsible for stevia’s exceptional sweetness and distinctive honey-like flavor.
This abundant chemical profile contributes to stevia’s extensive therapeutic properties. While widely known as a sugar substitute for diabetics, stevia’s applications in traditional medicine extend to a broader range of conditions, including:
- Cardiovascular Health: Helps manage unstable hypertension, tachycardia, and bradycardia.
- Metabolic Support: Supports pancreatic health in diabetes and related inflammatory/degenerative processes.
- Oral Health: Assists in preventing caries, periodontitis, and periodontal disease.
- Dermatological Applications: Soothes skin conditions such as dermatitis, furunculosis, and trophic ulcers.
- Immune Support: Offers relief from cold, flu, and other upper respiratory infections (URIs).
Stevia’s benefits also extend to skincare. Facial masks made with stevia leaves help smooth fine lines, increase skin elasticity, and improve skin tone and texture – particularly beneficial for aging skin.
Unique Properties of Stevia:
Despite being 30 times sweeter than sugar, stevia is not only safe for diabetics but also recommended for daily inclusion in their diets. Its regenerative and rejuvenating properties contribute to the partial restoration of pancreatic function, improved digestion, and a reduction in cravings for fatty foods, all without elevating blood glucose levels.
Stevia’s antimicrobial properties are highly valued in both medicine and cosmetics. It helps prevent caries, inhibits putrefactive processes in the gut, and protects the mucous membranes of the throat and oral cavity from infection.
Regular stevia consumption aids in detoxification, eliminating radionuclides, toxins, and waste products. It also suppresses the activity of intestinal parasites and promotes their expulsion. Replacing sugar with stevia often leads to clearer, younger-looking skin, increased joint mobility, and improved organ function.
How to Use Stevia:
Stevia can be used fresh or dried. Both forms are suitable for making medicinal preparations and adding to food as a seasoning or sweetener. Dried stevia leaves can flavor snacks, desserts, compotes, kissels (fruit drinks), and tea. You can also prepare infusions and decoctions.
Infusion:
Steep 2 tablespoons of stevia in 250ml of hot water in a thermos overnight. In the morning, strain the infusion, add 150ml of boiling water to the remaining leaves, and steep for another 12 hours. Combine both infusions. Use as a sweetener or take one teaspoon twice daily to alleviate symptoms of hypertension, liver, and pancreatic conditions.
Decoction:
Simmer 20g of stevia in 200ml of cold water until boiling, then simmer gently for 15 minutes. Cool and strain. Take 10ml three times a day for atherosclerosis, endocrine disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and gastrointestinal issues.
Contraindications:
The only significant contraindication is individual intolerance. Use with caution during pregnancy.
