Detailed Instructions for Using the Ingrown Toenail Correction Patch:
Preparation:
- Thoroughly clean and dry the affected toenail. Remove any debris from both the underside and the surface of the nail. Trim the correction patch to match the width of your nail.
- Gently file the sides of the ingrown toenail using a nail file or buffer to smooth any sharp edges.
- Smooth the surface of the toenail with a nail file or buffer to ensure a clean, even surface for better adhesion. Remove any dust or debris. Let the nail air dry for 5 minutes, or use a hairdryer to speed up the process.
Application:
- Carefully apply one end of the correction patch horizontally to the side of the toenail, ensuring there are no gaps. Use a finger protector to firmly press the patch for approximately 30 seconds to secure it. Wait 1-2 minutes before proceeding to the next step for optimal adhesion.
- Apply a small amount of adhesive to the ingrown portion of the nail. The adhesive sets in about 10 seconds; the less you spread it, the faster it dries. Avoid letting the adhesive dry before application.
- Immediately press the end of the correction patch firmly against the adhesive using a finger protector for 30 seconds, ensuring a strong bond between the patch and the nail. A longer application of adhesive improves results.
- Apply a small amount of adhesive to the edge and both ends of the front nail patch to create a seal and enhance adhesion.
- After application, rest for an hour to allow the adhesive to fully set.
Removal:
- Do not forcefully remove the patch, as this can damage the nail. To remove, apply a layer of the provided adhesive remover. Gently lift one edge of the correction patch and slowly peel it away while the remover softens the adhesive.
Maintenance:
Replace the patch every 2 weeks. If the patch falls off before 2 weeks, reapply a new patch. If the patch remains adhered for 2 weeks, remove and apply a fresh patch.
