EndoZhi No. 2: Canal Irrigant for Enhanced Root Canal Preparation (15ml)
Product Description:
EndoZhi No. 2 is a canal irrigant designed to effectively widen and locate the orifices of root canals. This 15ml solution combines the power of EDTA (17% potassium and sodium salts) with the antiseptic properties of cetrimonium bromide. Cetrimonium bromide acts as a surfactant, facilitating penetration into canaliculi, preventing dentin debris from settling, and simplifying its removal.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Effective Canal Widening: EDTA effectively chelates calcium ions in dentin, facilitating canal widening.
- Superior Cleaning Action: Cetrimonium bromide’s surfactant properties prevent debris accumulation, ensuring thorough cleaning.
- Improved Visualization: Facilitates the location and identification of root canal orifices.
- Antiseptic Properties: Cetrimonium bromide offers broad-spectrum antimicrobial action.
- 15ml Bottle: Convenient size for multiple procedures.
Instructions for Use:
EndoZhi No. 2 may precipitate at low temperatures. Before use, allow the bottle to reach room temperature (20-25°C) for one hour, shaking until the precipitate is completely dissolved.
- Initial Irrigation: After removing the pulp chamber roof, irrigate with sodium hypochlorite solution (e.g., 1-3% NaOCl) to remove pulp remnants and locate canal orifices.
- Chemical & Mechanical Preparation: Introduce EndoZhi No. 2 into the pulp chamber and begin mechanical widening. Then, using a root canal file, introduce the solution into the canal for 2-3 minutes. Repeat this process, alternating chemical and mechanical preparation, using fresh EndoZhi No. 2 as needed. For stubborn, hard-to-remove deposits, a cotton pellet soaked in EndoZhi No. 2 can be placed in the pulp chamber, sealed with a temporary filling, and left for several days. Remove the temporary filling at the next appointment, clean the canal, and thoroughly rinse with water and an antiseptic solution (e.g., 1-3% sodium hypochlorite).
- Alternating Irrigation: For optimal cleaning, alternate EndoZhi No. 2 with sodium hypochlorite solution (e.g., 3% or 5.2% NaOCl) using an endodontic needle with a side opening or an irrigation syringe to reach deep canal sections.
- Final Irrigation & Preparation for Filling: Before obturation, irrigate the canal with 8-10 ml of EndoZhi No. 2 for 5 minutes to remove the smear layer and disinfect the root canal system. Alternatively, activate the solution using an ultrasonic endodontic file. Follow with a final irrigation of 10-20 ml of 3-5% sodium hypochlorite for 5-7 minutes. Rinse the canal with water, dry with a sterile paper point or EndoZhi No. 1, and then fill the canal with the chosen obturation material.
