Title: KROVESTOP IПП 4 Two-Chamber Combat Tourniquet with Nuts – Individual First Aid Dressing
Description:
The KROVESTOP IПП 4 Individual First Aid Dressing is designed for immediate first aid in cases of massive bleeding. This tourniquet is suitable for treating all types of superficial and penetrating wounds in both military and civilian settings. The unique “Nuts” version also serves as an excellent demonstration tool, showcasing the advanced capabilities of modern dressings—demonstrating that they can incorporate virtually any supplementary item, from hemostatic agents to, well, nuts! This makes it perfect for practical demonstrations, training exercises, or even a little lighthearted fun. The KROVESTOP is a next-generation individual dressing, replacing outdated gauze bandages. Utilizing a highly elastic bandage, it stretches significantly, enabling easy pressure application even with one hand. This elasticity minimizes discomfort and maximizes compression reliability. The large, absorbent pad effectively manages even severe wounds like gunshot injuries or blast traumas (MVT). The innovative buckle-tensioner provides targeted pressure directly on the bleeding source, controlling even severe injuries such as severed vessels or traumatic amputations.
Instructions:
- Open the outer packaging and remove the IПП. Open the second layer of packaging using the pre-cut slits, or, holding the dressing in one hand, stretch and straighten the top edge of the vacuum-sealed packet. Place your fingers as close to the bandage as possible, make a grasping motion, clench your fist, and grab the maximum amount of the free edge of the packet. Pull towards yourself and slightly downwards, tearing the vacuum-sealed packet along the straightened edge.
- Apply the KROVESTOP dressing pad directly over the wound. You can hold the IПП by the pressure applicator with one hand, leaving your other hand free.
- Firmly press the pad against the bleeding source and begin wrapping the bandage. Don’t worry about letting go of the free end of the bandage – the ANTI-DROP system prevents unraveling until you release it. Stretch the bandage to create the desired compression.
- After several wraps around the injured limb, ensure the pad is firmly pressed against the wound. Thread the free end of the bandage through the buckle-tensioner and begin winding the bandage in the opposite direction.
- After one wrap, thread the bandage through the other end of the buckle-tensioner and unwind the bandage in the opposite direction again, creating a second layer over the wound. This method applies significant additional pressure, stopping even severe bleeding.
- Finish bandaging and secure the dressing with the fixing stick at the end of the bandage.
