Overdose So far, there have been no reports of symptoms caused by an overdose of St. John’s wort herb preparations. After taking an excessive dose, symptoms of phototoxicity on the skin and adverse reactions may increase. Within 1-2 weeks after ingestion of a large dose, the skin must be protected from sunlight and ultraviolet radiation (limit the duration of walking, protect the skin with clothing and sunscreens with a high protection factor). Precautions For prolonged use, direct sunlight should be avoided due to the possible development of photosensitivity, especially in persons with fair skin. If the symptoms of the disease persist for more than 1 week, you should consult a doctor. Use during pregnancy and lactation Due to the lack of sufficient clinical data, use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended. Effects on the ability to drive a car and work with moving mechanisms Clinical studies have shown that the use of St. John’s wort does not affect overall performance and driving ability. If during treatment there are adverse reactions from the central nervous system (dizziness, fatigue), you should refrain from driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms. Interaction with other drugs If you are currently or have recently taken other drugs, tell your doctor. The combination of St. John’s wort with other antidepressants is not recommended.
