PERINDOPRIL-MIK, 4 mg capsules: cylindrical hard gelatin capsules with white hemispherical ends. The main active ingredient Perindopril Release form capsules Dosage 4 mg. Indications for use PERINDOPRIL-MIC is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It acts by dilating the blood vessels, making it easier for blood to pump. PERINDOPRIL-MIC is used in the following cases: – in the treatment of arterial hypertension (high blood pressure), – in the treatment of heart failure (a disease in which the heart stops supplying the body with enough blood), – to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications in patients with stable ischemic heart disease, as well as in patients who have undergone myocardial infarction and / or revascularization surgery. Dosing and Administration When taking PERINDOPRILA-MIC, always strictly follow the doctor’s instructions. If you have any doubts about the correct use of the medicine, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist. Capsules are recommended to be taken once a day, in the morning, before breakfast, with a glass of water, preferably at the same time every day. Your doctor will decide which dose is right for you. Usual dosages: High blood pressure: The usual initial and maintenance dose is 4 mg once a day. If necessary, after one month of treatment, the dose can be immediately increased to 8 mg once a day. The maximum recommended dose for high blood pressure is 8 mg per day. Heart failure: The usual starting dose is 2 mg once daily. After two weeks of treatment, the dose may be increased to 4 mg once daily, which is the maximum recommended dose for heart failure. Stable ischemic heart disease: The usual starting dose is 4 mg once daily. After two weeks of treatment, the dose may be increased to 8 mg once daily, which is the maximum recommended dose for this indication. These include: – other medicines to treat high blood pressure (drugs that increase the amount of urine excreted by the kidneys); – potassium-sparing diuretics (spironolactone, triamterene), potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes; – lithium for mania or depression; – non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (eg ibuprofen) for pain relief or high doses of aspirin; – means for the treatment of diabetes, for example, insulin; – agents for the treatment of mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, etc. (eg tricyclic antidepressants, antipsychotics); – immunosuppressive drugs (drugs that reduce the body’s defense mechanisms) used to treat autoimmune disorders or used after transplant operations (for example, cyclosporine); – allopurinol (for the treatment of gout); – procainamide (to treat irregular heart rhythms); – vasodilators, including nitrates (drugs that dilate blood vessels); – heparin (a drug that thins the blood); – medicines used to treat low blood pressure, shock or asthma (eg ephedrine, norepinephrine or epinephrine). There is an increased risk of developing hyperkalemia, kidney damage, hypotension with the simultaneous use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors), AT II receptor blockers (ARB II), direct renin inhibitors. Composition PERINDOPRIL-MIC, capsules 2 mg Active ingredient: perindopril tert-butylamine salt. Each capsule contains: 2.0 mg of perindopril tert-butylamine salt (equivalent to 1.669 mg of perindopril). Other Ingredients: Magnesium stearate, potato starch, lactose monohydrate. The composition of the white capsule shell: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E-171), sodium lauryl sulfate. PERINDOPRIL-MIK, 4 mg capsules Active ingredient: perindopril tert-butylamine salt. Each capsule contains: 4.0 mg of perindopril tert-butylamine salt (equivalent to 3.338 mg of perindopril). Other Ingredients: Magnesium stearate, potato starch, lactose monohydrate. The composition of the capsule shell with a white body and a green cap: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E-171), dyes: brilliant blue (E-133), quinoline yellow (E-104). PERINDOPRIL-MIK, capsules 8 mg Active ingredient: perindopril tert-butylamine salt. Each capsule contains: 8.0 mg of perindopril tert-butylamine salt (equivalent to 6.676 mg of perindopril). Other Ingredients: Magnesium stearate, potato starch, lactose monohydrate. Shell composition White capsules: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (E-171), sodium lauryl sulfate. Side effects Like all medicines, PERINDOPRIL-MIC can cause side effects, although not in every patient. These include: • Common (affects less than 1 in 10 people but more than 1 in 100): – headache, – dizziness, – tingling and tingling sensation, – vertigo, – blurred vision, – tinnitus, – slight dizziness due to low blood pressure, – cough, – difficulty breathing, – digestive disorders (nausea, vomiting, pain in the abdomen, taste disturbances, dyspepsia or difficulty in digestion, diarrhea, constipation), – allergic reactions (such as skin rash, itching), – muscle cramps, – feeling tired. • Uncommon (affects less than 1 in 100 patients, but more than 1 in 1000): – an increase in the number of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell), – changes in laboratory parameters: high levels of potassium in the blood, reversible when the drug is stopped, low sodium levels, – mood swings, – sleep disturbance, – drowsiness, – tachycardia, – bronchospasm (chest tightness, wheezing and shortness of breath), – dry mouth, – angioedema, – urticaria, – photosensitivity reactions (increased sensitivity skin to the sun), – arthralgia (joint pain), – myalgia (muscle pain), – kidney problems, – impotence, – increased sweating, – chest pain, – peripheral edema, – fever. • Very rare (affects less than 1 in 10,000 people): – confusion, – cardiovascular disorders (irregular heart rate, angina pectoris, heart attack and stroke), – eosinophilic pneumonia (a rare form of pneumonia), – rhinitis ( stuffy nose or discharge from the nose), – erythema multiforme, – disorders in the composition of the blood, – disorders of the pancreas or liver, – acute renal failure.
