Name:
Laritylene.
Description:
White round tablets with a bevel on both sides and a notch on one side. The main active ingredient is dequalinium chloride + cinchocaine hydrochloride. Release form Mint-raspberry lozenges. Pharmacological action Laritilene has an antibacterial and antifungal effect. As a bactericidal and fungistatic agent, dequalinium chloride affects microorganisms that cause mixed infections of the mouth and throat. The spectrum of activity of this topical chemotherapeutic agent is very broad and includes most Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, as well as fungi and spirochetes. Dibucaine hydrochloride has a weak local anesthetic effect, relieving pain from infections of the mouth and throat. Microorganisms that are resistant to dequalinium chloride are not known. Since Laritilene does not contain sugar, it is suitable for use in diabetic patients. The main active ingredient is absorbed in small amounts. Indications for use Laritilene is used as an antiseptic and analgesic for adjuvant therapy in non-severe infectious and inflammatory processes of the oral cavity and pharynx (gingivitis, recurrent aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis and candidal stomatitis). If a bacterial infection is accompanied by severe sore throat, fever, and deterioration in general condition, systemic antibiotic therapy is necessary as prescribed by a doctor. Dosage and administration Adults and children from 12 years of age are prescribed 1 tablet every 2 hours, after reducing the symptoms of inflammation – 1 tablet every 4 hours. Children over the age of 4 years are prescribed 1 tablet every 3 hours, after reducing the symptoms of inflammation – 1 tablet every 4 hours. Tablets should be sucked slowly, without chewing. The maximum daily amount is 10-12 tablets during the acute phase and 6 tablets per day after the inflammatory symptoms have disappeared. The duration of use is the same for children and adults. It is recommended to take Laritylen until the symptoms of the disease disappear; if the symptoms have not disappeared after 5 days of therapy, after consulting a doctor, the treatment should be reviewed. Use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended. Controlled studies have not been conducted. The drug during pregnancy or lactation can be used after consulting a doctor if the therapeutic effect outweighs the possible risk of affecting the child.
