Description:
A light yellow to dark yellow transparent liquid contained in a cylinder with a continuous valve under compressed gas pressure. The drug, when leaving the balloon, forms a jet with a characteristic smell of thymol and menthol. Main active ingredient Glycerol + peppermint oil + sulfanilamide + sulfathiazole + thymol + eucalyptus oil Release form aerosol Dosage 30 ml Thymol, eucalyptus oil and peppermint oil have an antifungal (against Candida), antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and mild analgesic effect. Pharmacokinetics The drug forms a therapeutic concentration, mainly in the focus of inflammation. Partially absorbed are sulfa drugs that bind to blood proteins: sodium sulfanilamide by 12-14%, sodium sulfathiazole by 55%. In the process of biotransformation, acetylated forms of drugs are formed, in the form of which they are excreted by the kidneys. The half-life of sodium sulfanilamide is 10 hours, sodium sulfathiazole is 1-2 hours. Indications for use Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, aphthous stomatitis. Dosage and administration Apply topically. After removing the safety cap from the cylinder, spray the suspension into the oral cavity for 1-2 seconds. Irrigation is carried out 3-4 times a day with preliminary rinsing of the mouth with boiled water. Duration of application is 5 days. Use during pregnancy and lactation Pregnancy and breastfeeding Due to the lack of sufficient data, the use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is not recommended. Interaction with other drugs When used simultaneously with derivatives of para-aminobenzoic acid (novocaine, anestezin, dikain), the antibacterial activity of sulfonamides is inactivated. Precautions Children can use the drug from an age when they do not resist a foreign object (applicator) in the mouth when using an aerosol and are able to hold their breath when injecting the drug. The drug is not recommended for use in children under 4 years of age due to the lack of sufficient data on the effectiveness of the use. It must be used with caution in patients with heartburn, hiatal hernia, and inflammatory and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract. Excipients: ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 95% – 1.800 g, sodium saccharin – 0.045 g, glycerol (glycerin) – 2.100 g, polysorbate-80 (tween-80) – 0.900 g, purified water – up to 30 ml, nitrogen – from 0.3 to 0.4 g. nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, intestinal colic, diarrhea, rectal ulceration, dizziness, drowsiness, depression, impaired consciousness, delirium, ataxia, muscle weakness, convulsions, cyanosis, suffocation, miosis, respiratory arrest, cardiac arrhythmias, fever, impaired renal function (hematuria, crystalluria), thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, anemia, jaundice. The victim should immediately consult a doctor. Overdose assistance measures: removal of the drug from the stomach and intestines (gastric lavage, artificial vomiting, the use of saline laxatives, enema, the use of intestinal adsorbents – activated charcoal), symptomatic treatment. If necessary, carry out oxygen and transfusion therapy. Side effects Allergic reactions: short-term burning sensation or sore throat, ulceration of the oral mucosa, erythematous skin rash, headache, bradycardia, muscle tremor, ataxia, anaphylactic shock. Perhaps dizziness, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, cyanosis, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, impaired renal function (crystalluria).
