Description:
Gel for external use from yellow to yellow-brown, with slight opalescence. The main active ingredient is Indomethacin + Troxerutin Release form 45 g in membrane aluminum tubes. One tube in a cardboard box with a leaflet. Dosage 1 g of gel contains 30 mg of indomethacin and 20 mg of troxerutin Sodium benzoate may be irritating to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Dimethyl sulfoxide may be irritating to the skin. Pharmacological actionIndovasin gel is a combined drug, which includes indomethacin and troxerutin. Indomethacin has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-edematous effect. Troxerutin reduces capillary permeability and exhibits a venotonic effect. After rubbing, the gel easily penetrates the skin and subcutaneous tissues, reducing inflammation and relieving pain. Indications for use Indovasin gel is used for symptomatic treatment of: discomfort and a feeling of heaviness and pain associated with venous circulation disorders; pain and swelling in degenerative-inflammatory diseases of the joints of small and medium size, for example, the joints of the fingers, shoulder or knee joints; pain syndrome in rheumatic lesions of periarticular soft tissues (tenosynovitis, bursitis, fibrositis, periarthritis); pain and swelling after injuries, bruises and sprains. Dosage and Administration Always take Indovazin exactly as directed in this package leaflet. The drug is intended for external use. 4-5 cm of the gel is applied 3-4 times a day with a thin layer on the affected area with light rubbing movements. The total daily amount should not exceed 20 cm. The duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days. Children: Use in children under 18 years of age is not recommended as its safety and efficacy have not been proven. In case of venous circulation disorders, the maximum effect of treatment is observed with a healthy, balanced lifestyle, while it is necessary to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, prolonged standing on your feet, weight gain, and walking. The use of the drug is not recommended for persons with a history of or proven hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs, patients with bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis and other atopic reactions. Prolonged use of the drug, especially on large areas of the skin, should be limited in patients suffering from peptic ulcer during an exacerbation and with severe liver and kidney diseases, because of the danger of reaching a high concentration of active substances in the blood. If the gel is used for more than 10 days, laboratory monitoring of the level of leukocytes and platelets is necessary. Interaction with other drugs Simultaneous use with corticosteroids is not recommended due to the possibility of potentiating their ulcerogenic effect. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any excipient that is part of the drug; hypersensitivity to NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs); Indovazin should not be applied to open wounds, mucous membranes, oral cavity, conjunctiva of the eyes. Composition Active ingredient: 1 g of gel contains 30 mg of indomethacin and 20 mg of troxerutin. Excipients: carbomer, disodium edetate, sodium benzoate, macrogol 400, isopropanol, dimethyl sulfoxide, Fresco BM&GD R flavor 08.0932.1, purified water. Overdose There is no information about cases of overdose with topical application of the drug. Local reactions: Symptoms of hypersensitivity from the skin may appear – contact dermatitis, itching, redness, rash, feeling of warmth and burning at the site of application. Systemic reactions: Very rarely, with prolonged use on large areas of the body, side effects may occur: gastrointestinal disorders – nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, increased levels of liver enzymes; immune disorders – hypersensitivity symptoms (anaphylaxis, asthmatic attack, angioedema) .Very rarely observed exacerbation of psoriasis.
