During pregnancy, it should be borne in mind that enoxolone at high doses (> 60 mg / day) and long-term use can lead to sodium retention, edema and hypertension. There are insufficient data on the use of chlorhexidine and benzocaine in pregnant women. In studies of the effect of chlorhexidine on animals, fertility disorders or manifestations of cytotoxic reactions and peri / postpartum toxicity have not been described. It is not known whether chlorhexidine passes into breast milk. There were no violations during pregnancy or lactation with the use of benzocaine. Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms The effect of Anzibel on the ability to drive a car or machines is zero or insignificant. Precautions Do not take Anzibel at higher than recommended doses. Lozenges for resorption should not be chewed or swallowed whole, as the drug acts only locally, being in direct contact with the affected area. It should be borne in mind that the drug contains benzocaine, which can cause a positive doping test result in athletes. Anzibel contains sorbitol, which can cause stomach irritation and diarrhea. The drug should not be taken by patients with hereditary fructose intolerance. Do not take the drug in patients with intolerance to local anesthetics such as esters (especially derivatives of para-aminobenzoic acid), parabens or para-phenylenediamine, as there may be intolerance to benzocaine. The risk-benefit ratio should be assessed in the following cases: severe damage to the oral mucosa (may increase absorption of the anesthetic); fillings and dentures of the anterior teeth (in some cases, staining with chlorhexidine may become permanent). Due to the increased risk of methemoglobinemia, the drug should be used with caution: in patients with difficulty breathing (for example, asthma, bronchitis); in elderly patients; in patients with heart disease. For patients with reduced renal function or patients on a controlled potassium diet, each lozenge contains 0.50 mg of acesulfame potassium. Children: the efficacy and safety of the drug in children under 6 years of age has not been established, so the drug should not be used in patients of this age group. Interaction with other drugs Anzibel should not be used in combination with other drugs containing antiseptics. There are references to studies in animals, which describe that the joint local administration of enoxolone and hydrocortisone potentiates the effect of the latter on the skin. However, these data are not sufficient to determine whether this also leads to an increase in its systemic absorption and toxicity. Due to the presence of benzocaine: Cholinesterase inhibitors: inhibit the metabolism of local anesthetics, there is a risk of systemic toxicity, Sulfonamides: benzocaine metabolites may reduce the antibacterial activity of sulfonamides. Contraindications Anzibel is not used in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or other local anesthetics – ether derivatives, as well as in patients with phenylketonuria. Composition 1 lozenge for resorption contains: chlorhexidine dihydrochloride 5 mg, benzocaine 4 mg, enoxolone 3 mg; excipients: sorbitol, acesulfame potassium, magnesium stearate. 1 lozenge for resorption with menthol flavor contains: chlorhexidine dihydrochloride 5 mg, benzocaine 4 mg, enoxolone 3 mg; excipients: sorbitol, acesulfame potassium, magnesium stearate, menthol flavor (natural flavor, gum arabic (E414). 1 lozenge for resorption with honey and lemon flavor contains: chlorhexidine dihydrochloride 5 mg, benzocaine 4 mg, enoxolone 3 mg , acesulfame potassium, magnesium stearate, lemon flavor (flavor (natural and identical to natural), maltodextrin, gum arabic (E414), silicon dioxide (E551)), honey flavor (flavor (natural and identical to natural), maltodextrin, gum arabic (E414), propylene glycol (E1520), silicon dioxide (E551)).OverdoseChlorhexidine can cause temporary staining of the tongue, teeth, dental fillings and prostheses. There have been rare cases of irritation of the oral mucosa and the tip of the tongue, which are usually temporary and disappear after discontinuation of the drug. In patients using chlorhexidine mouthwash solution, adverse reactions such as a change in taste sensations and an increase in tartar, as well as in rare cases, a local allergic reaction was manifested, accompanied by nasal congestion, itching, rash. Adverse reactions that may occur due to the presence of benzocaine are due to overdose or rapid absorption, as well as patient characteristics, and include allergic contact dermatitis and angioedema. Also burning, itching, swelling or redness of the throat, which were not observed before the start of treatment. Enoxolone in high doses and with prolonged treatment can lead to edema and hypertension. It is unlikely that these adverse reactions will occur at the doses used in Anzibel. However, if adverse reactions are observed, it is necessary to stop treatment and consult a doctor.
