Synthomycin-FT Liniment 100mg/g 30g №1: Effective Topical Antibacterial Treatment
Description:
Synthomycin-FT liniment is a topical antibacterial medication containing 100mg/g of DL-chloramphenicol. It comes in a 30g tube, packaged in a pack of 1. The liniment is a white or slightly yellowish, opaque liquid with a distinctive odor.
Key Benefits:
- Effective against a wide range of bacteria: Synthomycin-FT liniment combats both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including staphylococci, streptococci, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and more.
- Treats various skin infections: This liniment is effective for treating purulent-inflammatory skin lesions, infected wounds, long-term non-healing ulcers, and second and third-degree burns caused by susceptible bacteria.
- Provides local relief: It offers localized treatment for nipple cracks in lactating women.
Important Information:
- Use with caution: Avoid contact with the eyes. Use only as directed by a doctor, especially for children.
- Potential for hypersensitivity: Antibacterial agents can cause skin sensitization, leading to hypersensitivity reactions.
- Possible side effects: May cause local skin reactions, such as contact dermatitis.
- Not recommended for early wound healing: Due to its oil-based composition, Synthomycin-FT liniment is not recommended for wounds in the initial phase of healing.
- Monitor blood tests: Regular blood tests are recommended during treatment.
- Disulfiram-like reactions: Simultaneous use with ethanol may lead to skin hyperemia, nausea, vomiting, and other adverse reactions.
