Supradin tabl.p/o in blister pack No. 10×3
Description:
Orange-red oval, biconvex tablets. The main active ingredientPolyvitamin + multimineral Release formPills Pharmacological propertiesPharmacodynamicsIt is determined by the complex of 12 vitamins included in the preparation in combination with minerals and trace elements, which are important factors in metabolic processes in the human body. Vitamins are necessary for the formation of energy reserves, the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and proteins, as well as the synthesis of collagen, neurotransmitters, etc. In addition to participating in the main metabolic reactions, vitamins are involved in the regulation and coordination of metabolic processes. Vitamins are essential for bone health, wound healing, vascular maintenance, microsomal drug metabolism and detoxification, immune status, tissue development and differentiation, and more. Minerals and trace elements are also of great importance. They act as catalysts in numerous enzymatic reactions, are structural components of enzymes, hormones, neuropeptides, hormone receptors, play various roles in metabolism, nerve impulse transmission, bone formation, etc. Vitamin, mineral and micronutrient deficiencies occur: as a result of many socioeconomic or medical factors (eg, gastrointestinal disturbances) and lifestyle (eg, dieting for weight loss) that affect nutrient intake; as well as in high-risk groups, especially in elderly patients. Increased demand may occur during periods of fatigue, growth, disease, infection and convalescence, or as a result of stress, smoking or alcohol abuse. Under these conditions, there is rarely a lack of only one of the vitamins, while the supply of minerals and trace elements is disrupted. In addition to the well-recognised consequences of acute vitamin deficiencies, a growing body of evidence points to the impact of adequate vitamin status on the prevention of disease and the maintenance of good health. The drug Supradin was created as a complete vitamin and mineral complex that helps to compensate for the deficiency of vitamins and minerals against the background of the above conditions. Pharmacokinetics The active ingredients of the drug Supradin – vitamins, minerals and trace elements are essential nutrients that are widely distributed throughout the human body. Absorption Vitamins and minerals are predominantly absorbed in the upper small intestine. Distribution All vitamins and minerals are essential for cellular functions and are distributed throughout the body. Water-soluble vitamins are not stored in the body, while fat-soluble vitamins can be stored in the liver and adipose tissue. Metabolism and excretion The liver is the main organ for the metabolism of vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, E and calcium. All vitamins and minerals are excreted by the kidneys. In addition, vitamins D, E, B12, copper, potassium, selenium, zinc and manganese can be partially excreted in the feces. Indications for use Compensation for the deficiency of vitamins, minerals and trace elements, when the need for them cannot be met by an appropriate diet. Deficiency of vitamins and elements can occur in case of their long-term deficiency, irregular and unbalanced nutrition and increased needs, for example, with maldigestion or malabsorption due to gastrointestinal diseases, prolonged parenteral nutrition, severe chronic diseases. Dosage and administration The drug is recommended to be taken with meals, swallowed whole, washed down with water. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 tablet daily. Use during pregnancy and lactation Can be taken during pregnancy and during breastfeeding, provided that the recommended daily dose is observed. There are no data indicating a risk to the fetus when taking the drug at recommended doses during pregnancy. An excess of vitamin A can have a teratogenic effect, so Supradin should not be used with other drugs containing vitamin A, its synthetic isomers and beta-carotene. Permanent overdose of vitamin D along with persistent hypercalcemia has an adverse effect on the fetus and newborn, namely: it can lead to the development of supravalvular stenosis of the aortic orifice in the fetus, retardation in physical and mental development and retinopathy in children. In this regard, it is necessary to take into account the intake of vitamin D in the body of a newborn. The vitamins and minerals that make up this drug are excreted in breast milk, but at therapeutic doses no harmful effects on the child are expected. However, this should be considered if the infant is receiving other supplements. Before using the drug, it is recommended to consult a doctor. Precautions Do not exceed the indicated dosage. The preparation contains lactose. Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicinal product. Special care is required when using preparations containing vitamin A, D and / or calcium at the same time. In case of hypersensitivity to lactose, Supradin should be taken in the form of effervescent tablets. Due to the presence of sucrose in the composition, patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, sucrase-isomaltase deficiency should not take the drug. Interaction with other drugs When used as recommended, no specific interactions are expected. However, potential interactions with individual components are described in the literature. Vitamin B6, even in small doses, enhances the peripheral metabolism of levodopa, as a result of which the therapeutic effect of levodopa in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease may decrease. Medicines containing calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, or zinc may interact with oral antacids, drugs that suppress stomach acid, antibiotics (tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones), levodopa, levothyroxine, thyroxine, bisphosphonates, penicillamine, trientine, digitalis, antivirals drugs and thiazide diuretics. The simultaneous use of two drugs should be carried out with an interval of 2 hours. Concomitant use of laxatives such as paraffin oil may cause malabsorption of vitamin D from the gastrointestinal tract. It is not recommended to take this drug within two hours of eating a meal containing high levels of oxalic acid (found in spinach and rhubarb) and phytic acid (found in whole grains), which can inhibit calcium absorption. Do not take other multivitamin-mineral complexes at the same time to avoid overdose. Contraindications hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug, disorders of copper and / or iron metabolism, hypervitaminosis A or D, hypercalcemia, severe hypercalciuria, renal failure, urolithiasis, children under 12 years of age. Composition 1 tablet contains: Active ingredients: Vitamin A (retinol palmitate) 3333 ME Vitamin B1 (thiamine nitrate) 20 mg Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) 5 mg Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) 10 mg Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) 5 mcg Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) )150 mg Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 500 ME Vitamin E (?-tocopheryl acetate) 10 mg Biotin 0.25 mg Calcium pantothenate 11.6 mg Folic acid 1 mg Nicotinamide 50 mg Minerals and trace elements: Calcium (phosphate, pantothenate) 51.3 mg Magnesium (stearate, oxide) 21.2 mg Iron (sulfate) 10 mg Manganese (sulfate monohydrate) 0.5 mg Phosphorus (phosphate) 23.8 mg Copper (sulfate anhydrous) 1 mg Zinc (sulfate monohydrate) 0.5 mg Molybdenum ( sodium molybdate dihydrate) 0.1 mg Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose (E460), povidone K90, lactose monohydrate, crospovidone, mannitol (E421), magnesium stearate (E572), sucrose. Shell: sucrose, rice starch, talc (E553b), titanium dioxide (E171), acacia dry spray, canthaxanthin (E161g), solid paraffin, liquid light paraffin. Overdose The use of the drug in the recommended dose does not lead to an overdose. Most reports of overdose of vitamins and minerals are associated with the simultaneous intake of large doses of mono- and / or multivitamin preparations. Acute or chronic overdose can cause hypervitaminosis A, D and hypercalcemia, as well as lead to toxic effects of iron and copper. Signs of an overdose include: sudden onset of headache, dizziness, confusion, as well as gastrointestinal upset, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. In some patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, an overdose of vitamin C (more than 4 g) can cause hemolytic anemia. If these symptoms occur, you should immediately stop taking the drug and consult a doctor. Side effects From the gastrointestinal tract: pain along the gastrointestinal tract and in the abdomen, constipation, vomiting, diarrhea and nausea. From the immune system: allergic reactions such as urticaria, swelling of the face, shortness of breath, redness of the skin, rash (including blistering) and shock. In the event of an allergic reaction, stop treatment immediately and consult a doctor. From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, insomnia, irritability. From the side of the kidneys and urinary tract: chromaturia (slight staining of urine yellow). This effect is harmless and is caused by vitamin B2 contained in the preparation. Storage conditions At a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, in a place protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.
