These sterile, 90mm diameter polystyrene Petri dishes (20 per pack) are ideal for cultivating microorganisms in clinical and laboratory microbiology settings. Designed for inoculating solid culture media, they facilitate the isolation of pure cultures, the study of microbial properties, and the assessment of antibiotic susceptibility and resistance.
Featuring a vented lid slightly larger than the base for optimal airflow, these ready-to-use dishes require no additional preparation. The ventilation prevents condensation and ensures appropriate gas exchange. They are suitable for use with various inoculation methods, including bacteriological needles, Dragstedt spreaders, swabs, Pasteur pipettes, and serological pipettes, and are compatible with both manual and automated media dispensing systems.
Post-inoculation, cultures can be incubated under various conditions to meet specific microorganism requirements regarding atmosphere, temperature, and incubation time.
Manufactured from high-quality polystyrene, these dishes maintain sterility for 5 years from the date of manufacture under proper storage conditions. Sterility is not guaranteed if the packaging is damaged.
